News from the park
Greetings Y'all,
As most of you already know, our newest trail is underway. The unnamed trail will begin about 0.8 miles down the Brissy Ridge Trail, swing back and connect into the Fire Tower Trail ending at the back of the North Lake Loop Trail. The folks with Appalachian Landscape Management, the trail company hired to build the trail, are working hard to get the trail finished, and have done a beautiful job so far. We are all excited for this newest addition to Paris Mountain State Park and will let everyone know when the trail is complete.
As this summer season approaches we are in the process of hiring our summer staff. This is a great opportunity for “Friends” of all ages to get more involved with the park. We are now taking applications and interviewing for lifeguard positions, as well as for the fee booth attendant position. Lifeguard applicants will need to be certified. As for the fee booth position, we are offering a paid position on the weekends and looking for volunteers during the week when things are a little more relaxed. This is a great position for those outgoing individuals looking for an opportunity to work in a beautiful setting and meet interesting people.
We hope to hear from some of you dedicated park enthusiasts. Please don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions. You can talk to Jeff Rechner or myself. Applications for temporary employment can be found at the Park Center or at here.
Thank you for all of your continued support!
